What Happens If My Keepsake Arrives Damaged or Wrong

September 29, 2026·3 min read

A packed keepsake order being checked before shipping.

Quick answer

Email us with a photo of the problem and your order details. If a keepsake arrives damaged in transit, or doesn't match the proof you approved, we make it right. Because every piece is pressed here by hand, a replacement is a real fix rather than a warehouse exchange — and you're talking to the person who made it.

It doesn't happen often, but boxes get crushed and mistakes are human. Knowing the answer in advance is part of ordering with confidence, so here it is plainly.

First Step

Email us. Include a photo of the problem, the box if it's damaged, and your order details. A photo tells us in seconds what a paragraph can't, and it lets us start on a replacement the same day.

What We Make Right

These are straightforward:

  • Damage in transit — cracked, bent, or crushed pieces.
  • A piece that doesn't match the proof you approved.
  • A missing item or short count from your order.
  • A production flaw: misalignment, a finish problem, a piece that didn't press cleanly.

Where It's Different

Because these are made from your photograph and approved by you, they aren't returnable the way a stock item is — there's no shelf to put them back on. That's exactly why the proof step exists, and why we'd rather spend extra time there than have you disappointed later.

If the source photo simply couldn't hold more detail, we'll have told you that before you ordered.

How Fast

We answer email directly rather than through a ticket queue. If a replacement is needed for a dated event, tell us the date and we'll treat it accordingly. Full order terms are on our site, and we'll always tell you what we can and can't do in writing.

How a 3.5-inch photo magnet becomes part of the story

Our custom photo magnets are professionally produced as 3.5-inch round keepsakes. They are big enough to actually see the faces in the picture, but small enough to belong on the refrigerator, the filing cabinet at work, or the side of a metal lamp in grandma's bedroom.

You provide the photograph. We help you make sure the resolution, the crop, and the framing honor the moment. Most people send us a phone photo or a scan of an older print, and we walk them through the rest. The keepsake itself does the work after that — quietly, every day, for years.

Across the Yakima Valley

Families across the Yakima Valley have a way of holding tight to the photographs that matter. We hear it from grandparents in Grandview, from young couples in West Valley, and from churches and ministries gathering in Tieton. Wherever you live in the valley — from the orchard roads of Tieton to the riverfront in Prosser — a keepsake photo magnet can quietly carry your story from one chapter to the next.

How to start

Email tsocustomkeepsakes@gmail.com with a short note about the photograph you want to preserve and the moment behind it. We'll respond with simple next steps — how to send the image, a brief design questionnaire, and information about custom order options.

There is no shopping cart and no checkout. Every keepsake we make begins with a conversation, because every keepsake we make is built around a story.

Your photo. Your story.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I do if my order arrives damaged?

+

Email us a photo of the damage along with your order details, and we'll arrange a replacement.

Can I return a custom keepsake?

+

Custom pieces are made from your photo and your approved proof, so they aren't returnable like stock items. Damage, errors, and production flaws are made right.

What if the finished piece doesn't match the proof?

+

Send us a photo of what arrived. If it doesn't match what you approved, we replace it.

Who do I contact?

+

Email us — you'll reach the person who made your order, not a call center.

How long do I have to report a problem?

+

Reach out as soon as you notice it. Email us with photos and your order details and we'll sort it out from there.

Will a replacement need a new proof?

+

Only if something in the design changes. A straight replacement of the same approved design doesn't.
