Suit Up for God: A Trunk-to-Trunk Armor of God Adventure

An outreach-ready alternative to a traditional trunk-or-treat.

The idea in one sentence

Kids move trunk to trunk like a normal Halloween night — but instead of just candy, each trunk teaches one piece of the Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10–18), and kids collect that piece as a real button, building their own full Armor of God set by the end of the night.

Why this works for outreach

This isn't a churchy replacement that only insiders will appreciate — it's still candy, still costumes, still a fun neighborhood night. The difference is what a family walks away with: a completed, meaningful keepsake instead of just a bag of sugar, and a natural, low-pressure reason to come back.

How it runs

5 core stations

One trunk per armor piece. At each station, kids hear a 30-second version of what that piece means, then receive that piece as a collectible button:

  • • Trunk 1 — Helmet of Salvation
  • • Trunk 2 — Shield of Faith
  • • Trunk 3 — Sword of the Spirit
  • • Trunk 4 — Breastplate of Righteousness
  • • Trunk 5 — Shoes of Peace

Every extra trunk adds to the night

Additional trunks — however many your church wants beyond the 5 — can offer candy, coloring/story sheets, scripture cards, or a necklace-making station (cross + beads). Scale the mix to however many cars your event actually has.

By the end of the night, kids have physically built their own full Armor of God set — piece by piece, not handed a finished kit.

Two ways to run it

Bulk orders start with an email — not a set price or a set date. Because group size, event date, and production capacity all vary, every bulk or live-event booking begins with a quick email to us first so we can confirm a realistic timeline and quote for your specific event. Please don't assume a standard turnaround or price without checking first.

Option 1

Bulk Kit — You Run It

Your church buys the full Armor of God button set in bulk ahead of time. Your own volunteers staff the trunks and hand out pre-made buttons at each station. Best for churches with an established volunteer team who want full control of the night.

Email us first with your event date and expected number of kids, and we'll confirm your order-by date and quote.

Option 2

Live Event — We Run It With You

TSO brings a live button table to your event. Kids color each armor piece themselves at the table, and we press it into a real button on the spot — same night, same event, but the making itself becomes part of the experience. Best for churches wanting a more interactive, memorable station without extra staffing burden.

Email us first to check date availability — live event slots fill up fast in the fall, and they're booked on a first-confirmed basis, not first-inquired.

What they bring home

Every completed set comes with a simple checklist card, so kids (and parents) know once they've collected all 5 pieces — and a place to display the finished set together at home, the same way TSO's other story sets are designed to live on the fridge, not get filed away.

Timeline

There's no fixed order-by date published here on purpose — production timing depends on group size and how many other events we're already booked for that season. Email us as early as possible, ideally as soon as you know your event date, so we can confirm a real order-by deadline for your specific booking rather than a generic one that may not apply.

Next Step

Tell us about your event

Before ordering, before assuming a price, before locking in a date on your end — send us your event date and expected number of kids. We'll walk you through which option fits, confirm a quote, and give you a real deadline to work backward from.

Prefer your own inbox? Email tsocustomkeepsakes@gmail.com instead — same first step either way.

Start Your Booking

Send Us Your Event Details

Same “email first” step — just without opening your inbox. Tell us your date and expected number of kids and we'll come back with the option that fits, a quote for your group, and a real deadline.

No fixed price or order-by date is published on purpose — both depend on your group size and our booking calendar. We email about ministry pricing, event dates, and new sets. No spam. Unsubscribe anytime. See our Privacy Policy.

Suit Up for God questions

What is Suit Up for God?

A trunk-to-trunk Armor of God alternative to a traditional trunk-or-treat for churches. Kids move trunk to trunk like a normal Halloween night, but each of the 5 core trunks teaches one piece of the Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10–18) and kids collect that piece as a real button — building the full set themselves by the end of the night.

How much does a Suit Up for God event cost?

There's no published flat price — on purpose. Group size, event date, and production capacity all vary, so every bulk kit or live-event booking starts with an email so we can confirm a realistic quote for your specific event. Email tsocustomkeepsakes@gmail.com with your date and expected number of kids.

What is the order-by deadline for a fall event?

There's no fixed order-by date published here on purpose — production timing depends on your group size and how many other events are already booked that season. Email us as early as possible, ideally as soon as you know your event date, and we'll confirm a real deadline you can work backward from.

What's the difference between the Bulk Kit and the Live Event option?

With the Bulk Kit, your church orders the Armor of God button sets ahead of time and your own volunteers staff the trunks. With the Live Event option, TSO brings a live button table to your event — kids color each armor piece at the table and we press it into a real button on the spot. Live slots are booked on a first-confirmed basis and fill fast in the fall, so email first to check date availability.

Is Suit Up for God only for Halloween season?

It's built for fall trunk-party season as a trunk-or-treat alternative, but the format works for harvest festivals, fall carnivals, VBS wrap-up nights, and family outreach events year-round.
