About Evee

The Heart of It

Romans 12:2 has become more than a favorite Bible verse to me. It is part of my story.

I know what it is to have chapters of life that don't look anything like the chapter you're living today. I know what it means to need God to change your thinking, redirect your steps, and keep working on you.

And He still is.

I'm not the perfectly put together Christian lady with all the answers. 😂 I'm a little crazy, pretty creative, completely in love with Jesus, crazy about my husband, happiest near the beach, and still learning and growing every day.

That's part of why this picture belongs here.

This is what transformation looks like to me. Not perfection. Life.

Laughing until your face hurts. Loving your people. Opening your Bible. Trying again. Creating something new. Helping somebody. Finding joy in ordinary days and recognizing that God was there through all of it.

And eventually I had to ask myself:

What am I going to do with the life God gave me?

TSO is part of my answer.

I create keepsakes because moments matter. I create Bible storytelling sets because I want children asking questions about Jesus. I want parents, grandparents and teachers sitting beside them and having conversations that may stay with that child far longer than a magnet ever will.

And when someone comes to me needing 25, 50 or 100 pieces, I don't just want to know the quantity.

I want to know the story. Who are they for? What are you celebrating? What are you teaching? Who are you hoping to reach?

Because for me, this is more than making something and shipping an order.

It's connection. It's testimony. It's planting seeds. And sometimes it's just finding one more joyful, wonderfully unexpected way to tell somebody about Jesus.

Meet My Husband, Zig ❤️

This is Zig, the love of my life.

I don't call my husband my rock, because Jesus is our Rock. But Zig is the man I get to walk through this crazy, beautiful life with. He loves me, supports me, puts up with my creative adventures, and yes, we disagree sometimes. 😂 That's marriage. That's real life. And I wouldn't want to do it with anybody else.

We're pretty different. He's apples. I'm oranges. Somehow, together, we make a pretty good fruit salad.

Together we have six kids, three boys and three girls, whom we love dearly, and eight grandkids so far. We also have a fabulous niece who is an awesome volleyball player, and I'm going to brag about her because that's what aunties do.

Then there are the furry and scaly members of the family: our dog and our lizard. Because apparently our family needed just a little more personality. 😂

We're not a picture perfect family, and I wouldn't want to pretend we are. We laugh. We disagree. We forgive. We love hard. We make memories. We keep growing.

Jesus is our Rock. Zig is the love of my life.

If you happen to catch a picture where it looks like he's agreeing with me, please save it.

I may need proof later. 😂

Life beyond the press

And Yes, I Grow Potatoes

When I'm not at the press, I'm usually out in the garden. Raised beds, dirt under my nails, and yes, potatoes.

It's slow work that rewards patience, which is about the same thing I'd say about making keepsakes by hand.

Why round?

A circle doesn't frame a moment. It closes it.

A square is a frame. A rectangle is just a square that couldn't decide where to stop. But a circle doesn't frame a moment, it closes it. It's the punctuation at the end of the sentence, not the sentence itself. When a photo is round, there's nothing left hanging off the edges pulling your eye away. It leaves just the moment, complete, the way a period tells you a thought is finished and true.

That's why round isn't a shape we chose by accident. It's the shape that says: this memory is whole. Nothing's missing. This is the ending it deserved.

The honest practical layer

Round is also the shape our press was built to make. Every TSO keepsake is pressed to a standard 3.5 inch round keepsake size, the same measurement professional button makers have trusted for decades. It isn't a trend we chased; it's the honest, physical shape our hands and equipment know best.

We don't pretend square isn't popular. Square photos feel modern, work well in grids and on Instagram, and that matters. But a square displays a photo. A round keepsake holds a memory in your hand and says, this one mattered enough to finish.

Your Photos. Your Moments. Your Story. Held in a shape that says each one is complete.

Peach Tree Retirement Center

A MEANINGFUL CHAPTER

Seventeen Years at Peach Tree

For seventeen years, I have been blessed to serve at Peach Tree Retirement Center, a family-style senior living community in Yakima, Washington.

Over those years, I have had the privilege of becoming part of the lives of people who have lived through extraordinary chapters of history—from the Great Depression, World War II, and Pearl Harbor to Vietnam and the many changes of modern life. I have listened to their stories, learned from their experiences, laughed with them, cared for them, and watched families grow alongside them.

Some of our residents remain as sharp, independent, and determined as ever. Others have lived with us for many years and experienced the natural changes that can come with aging. I have walked alongside people experiencing hearing loss, physical limitations, mild memory changes, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other challenges that can make everyday communication more difficult.

Through all of it, one thing has stayed clear to me:

“Every person deserves to be seen, heard, understood, and treated with dignity.”

That experience became part of the inspiration behind TSO Connection Magnets.

I wanted to create simple, visual communication tools that could help a person express everyday needs, recognize familiar people and routines, stay connected to family, and participate more fully in daily life—even when finding the right words becomes difficult.

These magnets are not meant to replace caregivers, family connection, or professional care. They are meant to support them—to create another bridge between a person and the people who love and care for them.

After seventeen years in senior living, I have learned that quality of life is often found in the smallest things: being able to say “I’m thirsty,” recognize a familiar face, know who is visiting today, ask for help, choose a favorite activity, or simply be reminded:

“You are safe. You are loved. You still matter.”

That is the heart behind TSO Connection Magnets.
